These days, it seems everybody wants to date Ronda Rousey. From minor league baseball players and Cardale Jones to Marines and her fellow UFC fighters, she has plenty of potential suitors. But during a recent interview with Self, Rousey revealed that it wasn’t always like this.
Back in high school, Rousey didn’t go on a single date. It wasn’t necessarily because she didn’t want to, but as she told Self, she was so focused on fighting that she didn’t do anything except fight.
“When I was a kid, all I did was train,” she said. “I never went to a dance, I never had a date, I never went to a single party. Training was my whole life, and it was because I wanted to be able to win the Olympics more than I wanted to go to the movies with my friends.”
Fortunately, everything worked out for her, and we’re guessing she doesn’t mind not going on dates when she was a teenager. She probably didn't miss much anyway.
