Gervonta Davis and a woman got into an altercation at a charity basketball game in Miami.

Davis was at the game with another woman, who he later said is the mother of his child, when the trouble started. In the 14-second video that was surfaced online, the 25-year-old boxer is seen with his hand close to the first woman’s neck, as he forcibly removes her from her seat. Witnesses told TMZ that Davis and the woman started yelling at each other and things became physical, though it isn’t clear who started it. Both were escorted out of the venue, and no one was arrested.

Davis later shared a statement regarding the incident on Instagram, according to The Baltimore Sun in which he denied hitting the woman. "I never once hit her," Davis said. "Yeah I was aggressive and told her come on." He continued, "That's the mother of my child. I would never hurt her."

According to the outlet, in February 2019, Davis was issued an arrest warrant in Virginia for a misdemeanor assault charge in connection to an alleged altercation on Feb. 17 at a Virginia mall. Davis was set to appear in court in May 2019 but reached a settlement beforehand, and the charges were dropped.

Davis is currently undefeated, with a record 23-0 with 22 knockouts.
