Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen was ejected during a summer league for being too physical.

During the game, Allen became entangled with Celtics rookie Grant Williams, forcibly pushing him off a backscreen to draw his first flagrant foul. Later, Allen made another risky move when Williams went up for a lay-up. Allen swiped to make a play on the ball but instead elbowed Williams in the head, which earned Allen his second flagrant foul and subsequent ejection. Allen exhibited this behavior toward Williams after missing two free throws.

Allen was a polarizing player at Duke as well. He was suspended for several games for intentionally tripping players, which led coach Mike Krzyzewski to taking away his captaincy during the 2016-17 season, per USA Today.

Read some reactions to Allen’s ejection below.

Watched him get ejected in Utah playing a G-league game... He got a double T then punted a cup of water in the crowd. I was on the 3rd row and got hit with the flying water #classy

NBA has become soft. This was barely a foul in the 80s and 90s. pic.twitter.com/Dhe6AfN7f7

Guess my coaches were wrong in saying to never let someone have an easy lay up. This is nothing lol he got some ball on it. These announcers would have heart attacks if they were calling games with the Bad Boy Pistons.

That doesn’t look that bad. Was taking a big swing at the ball, got some ball.
