Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low

It has only been two days since Sotheby’s auctions opened for its exclusive Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Lows and the sneakers are already selling for astronomical prices.

At the time of writing, Lot 183 for a men’s size 11 is at $80,000 with a total of 48 bids. Meanwhile, the lowest bidding price is $24,000 for pairs size 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 16, and 17. It’s worth noting that the rarest sizes (5, 5.5, 16, 17, and 18), which will only be produced in one pair per size, are currently priced between $24,000 and $48,000.

The sneakers were created by Louis Vuitton’s late menswear designer, Virgil Abloh, who already has numerous Nike projects under his belt through his Off-White label. Each pair dons a mix of Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram and Damier patterns and will come with an orange Louis Vuitton pilot case that will be included with each pair. The pilot case will only be available through the auction and will not come with the to-be-released retail versions.

100 percent of proceeds from the auctions will benefit Abloh’s “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund in support of Black fashion students.

The auction for the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low will be open at Sotheby’s until Tuesday, Feb. 8.
