Earlier this month, Trae Young took to Instagram with an official, but somewhat vague first look at his newest signature shoe, the Adidas Trae Young 3. Since then, more images of the model have surfaced, giving us a look at what to expect from the forthcoming release.
The Trae Young 3 first appears in a colorway that seems to be another homage to the 1996 Summer Olympics, which were hosted in Atlanta. It features a graphic-bearing green mesh upper and internal bootie construction, along with a vibrant pink cutout heel counter. Perhaps the most interesting element is the 3D topographic midsole design directly borrowed from the brand's Adilette 22 Slides. The concept showcases the shoe's complementary colors in a gradient-style arrangement. Classic herringbone and customized sections of traction are applied to the outsole. The "Olympics" theme first appeared on a Trae Young 1 Player Exclusive.
An official release date for the Trae Young 3 has not yet been announced, but the timeline could be moved up considering that Young is already sharing images of the shoe. The Trae Young 2 wasn't released until last November. Keep an eye out for updates in the coming months.
