Kim Kardashian reflects on her divorce from the artist formerly known as Kanye West in a new interview, saying her 40s are about “being Team Me.”

Speaking withVogue for the mag’s latest cover story, the SKIMS co-founder explained she “did what made other people happy” for a long time. Over the past two years, however, she says she’s decided to make herself happy.

“For so long, I did what made other people happy,” Kardashian said. “And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you.”

Elaborating further, Kardashian touched on some of what she’s aiming for in a new decade and also shouted out her sister Khloé for some recent advice.

“My 40s are about being Team Me,” she said. “I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, ‘Post and ghost.’”

Later in the interview, the topic of co-parenting was broached, with Kardashian outlining her personal approach.

“You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,’” she said. “Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.”

Though the recent TikTok-focused exchanging of words between Kim and Ye does get a mention in the text, the interview itself was conducted prior to the incident, which—as previously reported—saw Kim criticizing Ye for what she said were “constant attacks” on her.

Wednesday morning, shortly after the cover story went live, Ye shared a photo from Carlijn Jacobs’ accompanying shoot, writing “GOD PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER.”

Not directly mentioned by Kim K in her latest Vogue profile is Pete Davidson, who this week made headlines after referring to the Balenciaga campaign star as “my girlfriend” when speaking with People.
