Watch Seth Meyers And Amy Poehler Resurrect "Really!?!" on 'Late Night'

When Sports Illustrated's Andy Benoit initially tweeted his certified-trash thoughts on women's sports — particularly that he found them to be "not worth watching" because they are "just less entertaining" — the internet's response, though swift and united, seemed to be lacking one voice in particular — the joyous takedown art of previous Saturday Night Live mainstay "Really!?!" Sensing their duties were in grave need, formerWeekend Update co-hosts Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler reunited on Late Night with Seth Meyers to give Benoit a proper bashing.

Of course, Benoit eventually deleted the tasteless tweets — issuing a two-part apology which included profoundly relevant words like "stupidity," "overcompensated," and "ignorant":

The "Really!?!" revival (see above) proves fruitful, with Poehler landing the bulk of the laughs. "I guess I'm not surprised that you work for Sports Illustrated," says Poehler. "You guys put out a swimsuit issue every year dedicated entirely to women who aren't in sports." Poehler also took general network coverage of women's sports to task, citing the baffling adherence to lengthy Kentucky Derby broadcasts. "You'll play six hours of free Kentucky Derby footage," posits Poehler, "but you won't broadcast women's soccer? You think people would rather talk about hats than watch some badass American bitches take down Colombia?! Really!?!"

Though the revival is likely a one-off event, a reliable stream of Meyers / Poehler responses to various idiocy-related happenings would be a welcome addition to the late-night conversation.
