A hit TV series that routinely garners online discourse of the highest order has, as expected, been renewed for additional episodes.
Tuesday, Deadline let loose word that Netflix had indeed decided to renew the creeper hit Youfor a third round, just as the world was really getting deep on a Joe Goldberg-inspired meme format. The third season will span 10 episodes and will once again see co-creators Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti aboard as exec producers, with Gamble also returning as showrunner. Also returning, of course, are stars Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.
Speaking with the New Yorker last month, Badgley (who's once again out here getting heavily memed) assessed the deceptively charming murder character as an example of "privilege embodied." Comparing Joe to the Gossip Girl for which he was previously know, Badgley joked that the two are the same aside from one slight variance. "It’s the same role. But now he has blood dripping down his face," he said.
Season 2 of You dropped in December, quickly growing to become one of the streaming platform's most popular shows of the year. Read our spoiler-featuring Season 2 review right here.
