Netflix’s Space Force comedy, led by Steve Carell as General Mark Naird, is set to return with new episodes next month.

Ahead of the unveiling of a second season, the streamer has shared a trailer, which you can catch up top.

Space Force Season 2 debuts Feb. 18 and will pick up with Naird (Chief of Space Operations) and the team being tasked with proving their value to a new presidential administration, all while continuing to make the best of various interpersonal difficulties.

Carell’s crew-leading Naird is joined in the ensemble by John Malkovich, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Diana Silvers, and more. The comedy was co-created by Carell and fellowThe Office alum Greg Daniels, who spoke with Collider about the new season in an interview shared Thursday.

According to Steven Weintraub, fans of the series can expect a “stronger (and funnier)” season this time around. “We have a guest star, Tim Meadows, who’s the new Secretary of Defense, and he’s making it hard for the guys at Space Force. So that’s the overall theme,” Daniels told the outlet when detailing the show’s revived direction.

As for the real-life Space Force, the Armed Forces addition was formally established during the Donald Trump era. Last February, the Biden administration confirmed the Space Force would remain intact, with White House spokesperson Jen Psaki telling reporters that the branch—which was initially made the subject of numerous jokes—has their “full support.”
