For the latest reminder that we're now less than a month (!!!) away from Academy Award-winning auteur Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone, we have official word that Atlanta's Zazie Beetz and Peele's fellow Get Out alum Betty Gabriel have joined the already stacked cast.
The wise addition of Beetz and Gabriel was announced Friday via the CBS All Access series' official Instagram page. In keeping with the mystery that absolutely must surround a show of this nature, the specifics of their respective roles have not been revealed.
Beetz and Gabriel are joined by a previously announced roster of promise including Seth Rogen, Tracy Morgan, Steven Yeun, Kumail Nanjiani, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, and more. In addition to helming the third revival of the Rod Serling classic, Peele will be hosting.
In a must-read Rolling Stoneprofile back in January, Peele revealed that he was initially a bit hesitant to take on the Serling role, fearing it might come across as too "self-aggrandizing."
The first episode of Peele's Twilight Zone debuts April 1 via CBS All Access, which is also home to Star Trek: Discovery starring Sonequa Martin-Green.
But first, Peele will premiere his hugely anticipated Get Out follow-up Us at SXSW down in Austin. The film, trailers for which suggest that Peele will indeed be avoiding the dreaded sophomore slump, is this year's opening night showcase. Last year, that distinction went to eventual box office and critical megahit A Quiet Place.
