It’s a big day for news of the franchise-revisiting variety.

On the same morning as the unveiling of long-awaited Scream trailer, Disney and 20th Century Studios have come through with a look at Home Sweet Home Alone. The film, billed as a “reimagining” of the Home Alone franchise, is set to debut on Nov. 12 exclusively on the Disney+ platform.

Dirty Grandpa’s Dan Mazer directs the new holiday comedy, which boasts a script (based on John Hughes’ original) from SNL’s Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. The story focuses on Max Mercer, a young boy left home alone when his family heads to Japan for the holidays. Max is tasked with keeping the family residence safe from the attempted heirloom retrieval methods of a persistent married couple.

Starring in this latest take on the kid-left-alone-to-deal-with-thieves story are Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Chris Parnell, Ally Maki, and Devin Ratray. Ratray, of course, previously played the role of Buzz McCallister—brother to Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin—in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Speaking with Complex back in 2015 surrounding the original Home Alone’s 25th anniversary, Ratray was asked to reveal how often he revisited the holiday classic. “I don’t,” he said at the time. “If I go over to my parents during the holidays then chances are my mother will be watching. That’s, of course, her prerogative and that’s understandable. But I’ve seen the movie enough.”
