The Hilarious Advice Chris Rock Gave Michelle Obama at Final White House Bash

Chris Rock graciously made TheTonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon watchable Tuesday night. Rock, who's currently on the road for his Total Blackout stand-up tour, looked back on his attendance at the final White House party before a former reality TV personality moved in. As Rock told Fallon and the Tonight Show audience, his advice to then-First Lady Michelle Obama didn't exactly land.

The final Obama White House party, Rock said, felt like he had "died and went to black heaven." Rock was joined by Jay Z, Beyoncé, Oprah, and "a few white people" at the event. At one point during the night, Rock ended up in a one-on-one political discussion with Michelle Obama. "You know, you're sitting around, you're meeting people and you mingle," Rock explained. "First, you mingle. At one point, it's me and Michelle Obama just talking. I'm not really supposed to be alone with Michelle Obama. That's not really my lane. I don't know how to talk politics."

During their discussion, Obama opened up about her feelings on the 2016 election. Rock, however, thought she was talking about something else. "Michelle Obama is like, 'I don't know what we're gonna do, the country,' and, you know, we're talking about the election and stuff, 'I don't know what's gonna happen, this is such a crazy time.' And I go, 'You'll be aight.' And then I said, 'You know, you'll get any kind of job you want, I mean, The View, The Housewives of Atlanta.' And Michelle Obama looks at me like, 'I was talking about the country, I wasn't talking about me. I was talking about the country!' And I've never felt so stupid in my life. It's like my GED flared up, you know?"

Rock also discussed White House happenings in his new cover story interview with Rolling Stone's Stephen Rodrick. Discussing his prediction of Trump's election, Rock said the "it's my turn" candidates such as Hillary Clinton and John McCain always lose to more "of the moment" options. "Presidential politics is like show business, it doesn't give a fuck—'Whoever's hot,'" Rock said. "'Ooh, you paid your dues.' We don't give a fuck. Migos has the Number One record, fuck you."
