"Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past ANTM moments and I agree with you," the 46-year-old wrote. "Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs."

Recently, several clips have surfaced on the internet from the hit show. Fans used these videos to chastise Banks for her harsh criticisms of people that don't adhere to her standards of beauty. One of the clips including in the backlash was an exchange between Banks and Cycle 6 contestant Dani Evans.

During the conversation, Banks asks Evans why she did not get her gap closed.

"So, Danielle, you went to the dentist, but you refused to have your gap closed," Banks said. "Do you really think you can have a CoverGirl contract with a gap in your mouth?"

Evans did get her gap closed and went on to be the cycle's winner. On Thursday, Evans took to Instagram, where she explained that the moment was not as demeaning as it came across.

"Nothing or no one was going to stand in my way. And it wasn’t about copping out, it was about understanding what really carries weight and holds value in my life — and teeth wasn’t one of them," Evans explained.

Other clips that surfaced show contestants that had their skin darkened for biracial shoots, Cycle 4 contestant Kahlen Rondot being asked to pose in a graveyard after her friend passed away, and other questionable moments.
