50 Cent’s hit Starz series Black Mafia Family will add two Grammy winners to its star-studded cast next season.
Varietyreports that 2 Chainz and Ne-Yo have joined Season 3 of the 50 Cent-produced crime drama. BMF’s Season 2 premiere aired in January, so it’s unclear when the show will return for its third installment.
2 Chainz will portray as an Atlanta-born hustler described by the network as “fiercely loyal and determined to provide for his family no matter the cost.”
Ne-Yo is set to play Rodney Green, who’s “filled with swagger and an entrepreneurial spirit, [and] there’s more than meets the eye to Greeny.”
50 Cent took to social media on Tuesday to celebrate the casting, tweeting that “we making big moves for Season 3” and “got @2chainz locked in.” Both artists retweeted him, adding their own enthusiasm.

Let's get it! #BMF #Season3
50 Cent teased three BMF spinoffs at the Season 2 premiere in Hollywood.
“They got some really, really smart executives coming in to help rebuild Starz in the right way. And it’s exciting for me,” Fif said in January. “You’ll get a chance to see three spinoff shows from ‘BMF.’ It’s ‘BMF’ immortal.”
50 continues to steer the series despite the recent end of his contract with Starz, which since 2014 has aired a handful of Fif’s series, including BMF and various Power spinoffs. In October, the hip-hop mogul signed a three-project partnership deal with the media company Lusid Media.
