The crew behind The Voice were invited to John Legend's house for dinner after the finale on Tuesday, but Chrissy Teigen wasn't quite ready for it. On Twitter, Teigen made it clear she was not prepared to have guests over, and worse yet she realized that her husband had done very limited planning.

"I didn't know tonight was The Voice finale. John invited everyone to dinner at the house after and I'm really fucking mad because I didn't make a fucking FINALE meal," she tweeted. "I would have gotten a cake or something too?? Who the fuck does this? U don't win The Voice then eat short ribs. It sounds dumb but yes this is VERY John. I am always in charge of doing fun, extra shit and he has no idea how much I plan."

After the initial tweets, Teigen started to spiral over how annoyed she was. "Lol I'm serious I'm laughing but I'm fucking pissed," she said alongside a screenshot of her messages with Legend.

"They don't expect us to entertain them with something elaborate," John wrote, as Chrissy continued to focus on the glaring lack of cake. "IT IS THEIR SHOW FINALE why does he not know how to be extra."

It sounds dumb yes but this is VERY john. I am always in charge of doing the fun, extra shit and he has no idea how much I plan normally and he’s like “no it’s fine they just wanna have dinner” but it’s literally the finale of their show??? And I have no ice cream truck

no if they’re all coming that means the winner is coming. I hope it’s john ONLY because I have no cake and anyone else would deserve cake. I hate him https://t.co/r6TbDos6s2

After seeing just how stressed his wife became at the lack of planning he had done, Legend chimed in on Twitter to say that he was sorting something out. "I'm working on a solution," he tweeted, before Chrissy later offered an update by revealing John did order a cake. However, the cake did arrive at the same time as the five cakes Chrissy ordered.

"Our dinner party went off without a hitch and was far less uncomfortable than that of Michael Scott and Jan," John tweeted, finally bringing closure to the dramatic saga. "And there was cake!"
