With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker less than a month away from hitting theaters, Disney has unleashed the first (non-trailer, non-teaser) clip from the film. The brief but action-heavy snippet offers an indication of what to expect, with Rey, Poe, and Finn reunited after The Last Jedi split the crew apart.

Set on a Tatooine-like planet complete with speeder bike-style vehicles, the clip shows the trio alongside Chewbacca, C3PO, and BB-8 as they escape enroaching stormtroopers. Director and co-writer J.J Abrams recently teased that the ambition for the first entry of the sequel trilogy is at an all-time high. "What we set out to do was far more challenging," he told Entertainment Weekly of the movie, which he admitted they had more "story adjustments" on than the previous entry he worked on, The Force Awakens.

Abrams stopped by for an interview with Good Morning America to talk about bringing the Skywalker Saga to a close. Additionally, he revealed that one of the actors almost had their copy of the script sold on eBay after someone who cleaned their home discovered it under a bed.

Additionally, Disney also provided a behind-the-scenes look at The Rise of Skywalker and the entire phenomenon of Star Wars as a whole. Featuring clips from everything from Arrested Development and The Simpsons to Family Guy and Black-ish, the mini featurette ramps up the hype for the film big-time.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters Dec. 20.
