Pete Davidson isn’t happy about Chevy Chase’s comments about Saturday Night Live.

“He’s a fucking douchebag. Fuck Chevy Chase. I hate that dude,” Davidson said on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show on Monday. “He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person, and I don’t like him…Fuck him…He’s a putz. I don’t like him.”

Davidson’s response stems from Chase’s latest commentary about Donald Glover as well as the current quality of SNL; Chase criticized the show’s sense of humor and its creator and executive producer, Lorne Michaels. “I’m amazed that Lorne has gone so low. I had to watch a little of it, and I just couldn’t fucking believe it,” Chase said in an interview with the Washington Post earlier this month. “That means a whole generation of shitheads laughs at the worst fucking humor in the world. You know what I mean? How could you dare give that generation worse shit than they already have in their lives? It just drives me nuts.”

Chase starred on SNL in its original cast in 1975. Davidson was also quick to point out that Chase hasn’t picked up a role in a long time, and that even some of his former co-workers criticized Chase’s behavior before. “What has he done since ’83? Nothing,” Davidson said. “He had a really big career but then it stopped because everybody realized he’s a jerkoff.”

Davidson backed Michaels, whom Davidson believes jump started Chase’s career. “It’s just disrespectful to Lorne too, a guy who gave you a career,” he said. “No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.”
