As anyone who watched or attended Rolling Loud California’s 2023 edition will attest, Lil Uzi Vert delivered another unforgettable performance as part of the Sunday lineup.

In fact, Uzi used the opportunity to reward fans with a glimpse at some unreleased music, including a track that included an apparent reference to their relationship with City Girls’ JT

The line in question, seen below, has also drawn attention for a different albeit entirely predictable reason.

“I make a City Girl believe in satan”

Uzi, of course, frequently uses such imagery in their art as part of a long history of fellow artists doing the same. One could argue that a key part of the fun of utilizing such imagery and references is watching people share often humorously outsized reactions, all of which misguidedly take on the assumption that everyone shares in their belief that satan is a literal being.

It seems Uzi is having a little fun of their own with the unreleased track, which plays with such reactions by flipping them into a boast. Summer Walker, however, has found herself among those appearing to take the aforementioned approach.

In an Instagram Stories update, Walker said she was “genuinely curious” about whether Uzi and other artists have “ever seen or heard a demon before.” Walker, who was released confirmed to be among this year’s Dreamville Festival performers, also said there is “really nothing funny or cute about” this.

As for any Pink Tape updates, Uzi fans were given exactly that during this weekend’s Rolling Loud set, as seen in the following fan account-shared rip.
