Lil Durk and India Royale are ready to tie the knot.
The rapper proposed to his longtime girlfriend at 107.5 WGCI Big Jam 2021 concert in Chicago on Saturday night. He got down on one knee on the stage and showed India the ring.
“You know I love you to death,” he said. “You’ve been holding me down when I was going through a lot. You’re the realest and I just love you to death. Would you want to be my wife?”
India said yes into the mic before they embraced and the crowd cheered.
Durk and India started dating in 2017, a year later, she gave birth to their first child together, Willow, who is now three. Recent reports in October alluded to the couple breaking up, though he dispelled the rumors by posting a photo of him and his girl kissing on Instagram: “Y’all know damn well this sh*t 4eva,” he wrote.
A month prior to that, Durk gave a shout-out to India on his Certified Lover Boy appearance, “In The Bible.” “India Royale cosmetic, I’m just promotin’ my bitch/Drake song do a billion streams for sure, I’m just promotin’ her shit/Nasty with it, take her to Sono Bello and get her some massive titties,” he raps.
The couple has been holding each other down. Back in June, reports surfaced that Durk and India exchanged gunfire with home invaders at his Braselton, Georgia home. No injuries or arrests were reported.
