DaBaby says footage claiming to show him trying to kiss a fan is an example of some “cap ass shit.”
As you may have seen in recent days, a clip has been making the rounds showing the Back on My Baby Jesus Sh!t Again artist interacting with a group of fans. Shared alongside the clip was the claim that the footage in question showed DaBaby attempting to kiss one of the fans and having this attempted kiss rebuffed.
According to DaBaby, however, that’s not exactly what happened.
In a pair of Instagram Stories updates on Thursday, he shared a post about the video from the Shade Room, asking fans, “Who be making this cap ass shit up bruh???”
In another update, he directed fans to a post from his page circa February of this year (embedded at the top) featuring a moment he shared with fans. The video appears to have been taken around the same moment as the clip that’s been making the rounds this week.
“Me & my booboos love each other to death but ain’t no kissin goin on,” DaBaby said.

On the Shade Room post mentioned above, DaBaby also hopped in the comments, saying “bae was upset that I blew a kiss at her lil buddy first.”

Last month, DaBaby and YoungBoy Never Broke Again linked up for the full-length collaborative project Better Than You, which opened at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. At the upcoming Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, DaBaby joins a lineup which also features Megan Thee Stallion and Weezer.
