Cardi B is gearing up for her next release.
Cardi joined a Twitter Spaces held by her fans, where the Bronx native discussed her forthcoming single, âHot Shitâ with Kanye West and Lil Durk. She told fans, âI have this record already for almost three years. I think this record is actually older than âWAP.â It is everyoneâs favorite.â
She added, âThe record is very masculine too.â
Elsewhere, she commented on her support system and her fans. âI feel like I havenât put out a record in a year and a half. Itâs a lot of pressure on me,â she said. âIâve seen tweets of you guys said this before. You guys be feeling like no other fan bases be having your back. Everybody is scared to stand up for Cardi but I stand up for a lot of people.â
She continued, âTrust me, I be feeling that. I always be feeling like I donât have support of the people. I be trying to make everything perfect because all I got is me and my fan base. And all my fan base got is yâall self. We small, but we mighty.â
She also revealed that her next record is in the works: âIâm already working on the next record. Iâm already planning the rollout for the next record. Itâs not gonna be a couple months, this and that, after this record. I know Iâve been really lowkey with shit, but Iâm ready to be outside outside outside.â
Cardi also went on Instagram Live to explain why she wanted to cancel her release because the song wonât be without a music video.
âHot Shitâ is set to arrive this Friday, July 1. Cardi hasnât shared new music since last yearâs chart-topping songs âUpâ and âWAPâ with Megan Thee Stallion.
