Babyface Ray has returned with a new project.

His highly anticipated full-length album Face dropped on Friday, a near 30 days after the Detroit MC teased the project on New Year’s Day with a flashy billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

Face features production from 808 Mafia, DJ Esco, Romano, OG Parker, and ATL Jacob and includes appearances from G Herbo, 42 Dugg, Wiz Khalifa, Icewear Vezzo, Yung Lean, Pusha-T, and Landstrip Chip. The latter two rappers appeared on Babyface’s single “Dancing With The Devil,” and both starred in the song’s grim music video, which dropped earlier this month. Babyface then followed up the release with his latest single “Sincerely Face,” which he dropped Monday.

The new album comes after the “Fake Luv” lyricist closed 2021 with numerous accomplishments. Last June, he remixed his song “Paperwork Party” and joined forces with Jack Harlow. Then in August, he met up with Big Sean for the Hit-Boy produced track “Ain’t My Fault,” and in February dropped his Unfuckwitable EP, which included the single “If You Know You Know” featuring Moneybagg Yo, one of Tyler, The Creator’s favorite songs of 2021.

Despite all the love from fans and rappers alike, Babyface was asked by XXL in 2021 why he was set to blow up.

“I really don’t know. I just try to stay positive, try to stay working on things,” he said. “I feel like you stay positive, you stay working. It’s like, I can move, you know what I’m saying? Protect your brand, shit like that. If you do those things, then you should be straight, honestly.”
