Victor Oladipo has shared a new single from his upcoming Tunde project.

For the Harmony Samuels-produced track, titled “Exercise,” Oladipo enlisted singer Nonso Amadi. In a statement to Complex in tandem with the new song’s premiere, Oladipo looked back on the moment he knew Amadi was the perfect fit for the song.

“‘Exercise’ sets the tone for the album,” Oladipo tells Complex. “It’s just got a great energy about it. As soon as we played the beat I immediately thought of Nonso. We sent it over that night and he killed it.”

As a true multi-hyphenate, Oladipo—an NBA All-Star and current Miami Heat shooting guard—last released a full-length album with 2018’s V.O. project featuring Trey Songz and the late PnB Rock. Last year, Oladipo shared the singles “Morning Gift” and “Symphony.”

Speaking on the inspiration behind his decision to make what marks his first-ever Afrobeats album, Oladipo said it was simply time to “give back to my culture,” crediting this with having made him who he is today.

For Amadi, “Exercise” arrives following last month’s “Ease Up” single.

“With everything that’s going on, I felt this was the perfect time for this one,” Amadi said when rolling out the new track in January. Commemorating the rollout was a special Vevo DSCVR Artists to Watch 2023 performance of the track, as seen below.
