Eric the Jeweler took "the media" to task over the weekend for reports claiming he was planning to sue Quavo over that alleged altercation at a Grammys afterparty.

"Just for the record since the media likes to put things in their own words and elevate things that aren't really true to another level, I am not suing or pressing charges against Quavo," Eric said in an Instagram caption. "The media got it all twisted." According to Eric, the whole ordeal was simply a "big misunderstanding" that's since been sorted out. "We are on good terms and back to conducting business as usual," he added.

TMZ, who first alleged all this in typical TMZ fashion last month, claimed that Quavo and Eric had a meeting Friday during which Quavo "took care of" the $10,000 Offset apparently owed Eric. In a previous report, Quavo's attorney allegedly told TMZ that the New York City Police Department had "enough evidence" at the time to arrest Quavo for the incident.

Quavo joined Offset and Takeoff on this weekend's Saturday Night Live to run through Culture II cuts "Stir Fry" and "Narcos," marking their first appearance on the NBC staple since linking with Katy Perry for "Bon Appétit" last May.
