Masego is in a reflective mood as he rolls out his new self-titled sophomore album.

“I’m very thankful of the journey,” the artist says about the 14-track Lady Lady follow-up. “This went from a hobby to a job. I was getting all the things that they say that you’re supposed to be fulfilled by and I wasn’t fulfilled by it. I had to do a re-evaluation of a lot of things. I said, ‘I can’t make this what I imagined it to be. So I cannot remain here. I need to move.’”

This type of reflection, fittingly, is given a soundtrack with the unveiling of Masego. In the artist’s own words, fans have already met “versions” of him in the past. “Experience the latest,” he said.

March 12 is the launch date for Masego’s upcoming string of largely sold-out shows in the U.S. The tour starts with a stop at Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas before also touching down in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, and elsewhere.

Providing support for the dates, collectively known as the You Never Visit Me Tour, is Ogi.
