Will.i.am and Britney Spears Reunite on "Mind Your Business"

The song marks the duo's fourth collaboration, and first since 2013.

Will.i.am and Britney Spears have unleashed “Mind Your Business,” their first collaborative effort since 2013.

The Black Eyed Peas member announced the record on Monday with a teaser on Twitter that contained a snippet of Britney’s “mind your business, bitch” chorus. He previously revealed they'd been working together back in September.

"I’m sooo honored and excited for this release," Will wrote on Instagram. "Thank you @britneyspears…you’re one of the most fearless, strongest, kindest, purest people I’ve met in my life…I always loved working with you and I always will."

The two first linked in 2011 for “Big Fat Bass,” which appeared on Britney’s seventh studio album Femme Fatale. They reunited in 2012 for “Scream & Shout,” the lead single from the rapper’s Willpower record, and again in 2013 with Will.i.am executive producing the pop princess’ album Britney Jean, which contained their joint track “It Should Be Easy.”

“Mind Your Business” marks the second song Britney Spears has released since her 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021. She joined forces with Elton John last year for “Hold Me Closer,” which became her first top 10 song on the Billboard Hot 100 in almost a decade.

In June, Spears took to her Instagram and announced she “quit the business,” but a source told Page Six that could change. According to the insider, Britney “has talked about recording again and has gotten plenty of offers, some of which she’s turned down, but it’s all about timing and picking the right projects.”

The source added, “The beauty of Britney being free again is that she gets to call the shots for the first time in a very long time, and she’ll do it at her own pace.”
