Lil Reese has apologized for his actions towards a homeless man and proved it by giving back in an honorable way.

On Friday, footage of the Chicago native circulated online, showing himself and his team helping out several homeless people by donating money and giving them food. In the video, Reese handed off a few dollars to the homeless while members of his team gave away plastic containers filled with food.

The generous act happened after Reese shared an apologetic letter on his Instagram Story where he addressed a video that captured himself and friends harassing a homeless man trying to get some sleep. In the video, one of Lil Reese's friends poured a drink over the man's head as the rapper recorded the whole ordeal while people off-camera yelled, "Get his ass, get his ass. Put that bitch on his head. Fuck him."

In his letter, Reese wrote, "I would like to apologize to my fans and everybody watching for recording and laughing while they were pouring water on the homeless man in the video. I do not condone or support that type of behavior in anyway."

He continued, "I will be giving away money to the homeless community as well as giving away food, clothes, and water twice a month going forward [100 emoji]."

The troubling video left a bad taste in viewer's mouths, and they proceeded to drag Lil Reese on social media. Several people were shocked that Reese would do such a heinous thing, while others believed Reese was putting out bad karma.

Lil Reese's Chicago brother, Lil Durk, gave back to the homeless as well back in June. Durkio went on Instagram Live to show fans a homeless person was watching the music video for "All My Life" from a tent. Durk got the man a room, some cash, gift cards and a new phone just for watching the clip.

"You playing a video on the screen, 'All My Life.' That's me, featuring J. Cole," Durk says when he first approaches the man. "So look. I got you a room for 30 days, I'm gonna give you a couple dollars, some gift cards, and I'm gonna give you a phone … for showing support. … Appreciate you."
