As the saying goes, you learn something new every day, and while filming GOAT Talk, Rylo Rodriguez discovered the definition of GOAT.

The Complex series features guests naming their personal greatest of all time in a variety of categories.

After the two discussed their GOAT zodiac sign to date and slang from their hometown, Rylo asked Lil Baby to name the greatest female rapper of all time. While thinking about his answer, the It's Only Me MC disclosed what the acronym stood for.

"Damn, I ain't even know GOAT meant greatest of all time...till you just said it," 29-year-old Rylo responded at the 1:33 mark above, much to the surprise of Lil Baby.

"How the hell you don't know what GOAT mean? ... Yeah, what'd you think GOAT mean?" Baby, 28, asked.

The Alabama native flatly responded. "Just a goat, I don't know. I used to always think that, like what the hell's a GOAT? ... One day I was like, damn, why you wanna be a goat?'"

In Rylo's defense, the word "goat" was once popularly used to describe an athlete in a negative light. In that instance, the discussion centered around every game having a hero and a goat, which was short for scapegoat.

It's also worth noting Rodriguez's 2020 debut album was in fact titled G.I.H.F. (Goat in Human Form) and went heavy on the animal imagery for its cover.

When the two rappers got back on track, Lil Baby called Nicki Minaj the GOAT female rapper, adding that a "crazy" number of women are "running the game right now."

The respect appears to be mutual, because Nicki praised Lil Baby's "super-duper hard" verse on her song "Do We Have a Problem?" and admitted it was "refreshing to see people still care about that type of stuff...I still care about it."
