Lil Gotit is yet another reflection of the constantly evolving rap scene in Atlanta that continues to breed new and unique talent. Harnessing the mid-90s energy of the 69 Boyz, Gotit samples the group’s “Tootsee Roll” at the beginning of the track and then adds his own unique spin to it. The mashup of “Tootsee Roll” in the hook coupled with the hard bass on “Toosie” makes for an all-around club banger. Delivering heavy summer barbeque energy, Gunna makes a cameo appearance in the music video as well.

The two Atlanta rappers are good friends, hence why Gunna is stepping in as executive producer for his upcoming project. “Toosie” looks to be the latest single off Top Chef Gotit, with the young rapper releasing “Wok” before this. The album also looks to sport features from artists like Future, Nav, and others.

Before gearing up for this project, Lil Gotit released Hood Baby 2 in April of last year with guest appearances by FutureGunnaLil Yachty, his brother Lil KeedTee Grizzley, and more. That project capped off a successful year for the Atlanta rapper, who appeared on several other projects with his peers as well.
