D'Angelo Honors Prince With a Beautiful Cover of "Sometimes It Snows in April" on 'The Tonight Show'

Such a wonderful performance from D'Angelo.

So many artists have been positively influenced by the legacy of Prince, and D'Angelo is certainly one of them. Tonight, he paid tribute to the iconic artist with a special performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Choosing to cover the song "Sometimes It Snows in April," D'Angelo's performance was wonderfully executed with help from Princess, Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum's cover band.

The much revered singer has always cited Prince as a major influence, and even released covers of songs like "She's Always in My Hair." Now, with Prince tragically gone, D'Angelo is doing his best to keep his musical legacy alive with performances like this. He joins a number of other artists, including the GameJennifer Hudson, and Bruce Springsteen, who have performed or released songs in honor of the iconic musician.

You can check out D'Angelo's performance in the video above.
