Less than a week after accusing him of sleeping with other women, Ne-Yo’s wife has officially filed for divorce after eight years of marriage, TMZ reports.

According to the outlet, the R&B singer’s wife, Crystal Renay, filed divorce documents on Monday in Atlanta, claiming that the couple’s marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”

Renay, who shares three children with Ne-Yo, has accused her husband of fathering a child with another woman. She is requesting primary physical custody of the kids and joint legal custody, as well as child support and alimony.

The news comes just a few days after Crystal took to social media to announce plans to leave the singer, claiming that he’s been cheating on her throughout their relationship.

“8 years. 8 years of lies and deception,” Renay wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!”

To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a[n] understatement,” her message continued. “To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”

Shortly after Crystal’s comments, Ne-Yo hopped on Twitter to ask for privacy amid the separation.

“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors,” Ne-Yo wrote. “Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”
