Wiz Khalifa has yet to headline a Verzuz match-up, but he thinks it would be “fun” to square-off against Lil Wayne.

During an interview with Superstar Jay on Shade 45, Wiz was asked who would be fun to face in a Verzuz style event. “Wayne,” he replied. “I think that would be fun. Yea. ‘Cause Wayne’s a really dope performer, so it’s like, with him… me and him going back and forth, like, performing bangers? That shit [would] be hard. And we both smoke hella weed, and I think that would be more like a concert than a Verzuz.”

Wiz made a guest appearance on a Verzuz event previously, when he backed up Juicy J during the Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Verzuz. Wayne also made an appearance during the same performance, during which he also delivered a guest verse for Juicy.

Later in the interview, Wiz suggested that he would be down to do one with Kid Cudi, too. “He’s somebody who is like me, you know, a multi-faceted audience,” he added. “He’s got some classic core stuff, the same way that I do.”

Earlier this month, Wiz appeared in the trailer for Timothy Scott Bogart’s new movie Spinning Gold. The biographical drama is set to follow the rise and fall of Casablanca Records, which dominated the disco scene in the ‘70s as the top independent record label in the genre. Khalifa stars in the film as George Clinton, while Jason Derulo also makes an appearance as Ron Isley of the Isley Brothers.
