A new OVO store will be opening at Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Centre on Aug. 4. In anticipation of the opening, Drake dropped some accompanying visuals set to his More Life song "Gyalchester." The promo video features Drake and his OVO compatriots having a rambunctious time at the mall where the new store will be located. Peep it below.
Drake dropped the 22-track "playlist" More Life back in March of this year. The new store will be OVO's second in Toronto and their flagship location. There are also stores in Los Angeles and New York City, as well as an online shop.
The eighth annual OVO Fest will take place just a few days after the opening of the store, on Monday, Aug. 7 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. OVO signees Majid Jordan, PartyNextDoor, Roy Woods, Dvsn, and head honcho Drake will be performing. If you haven't already copped, good luck getting tickets. They sold out within a few short minutes of going on sale. To the dismay of fans, multiple tickets were reportedly purchased by bots, for the purpose of reselling at higher prices.
In other Drake-related news, the 6ix god has reportedly invested in Matchabar, a bottled energy drink. The company is partnering with Whole Foods for product distribution. Graham Fortgang, the co-founder of MatchaBar, addressed Drake's investment in a statement: "We feel Drake not only embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of our brand, but also our company's ethos 'good things come to those who hustle.'" The drink is sourced from a family farm in Nishio, Japan. For those not in the know, matcha is a type of green tea leaf finely ground into a powder.
