Drake paid his respects to Nipsey Hussle on Monday night while at the first show of his seven night residency at London's O2 Arena.

"Somebody that provided for his people. Somebody that always treated you with respect when he saw you. Somebody that demanded respect when he walked in a room," Drake said to the crowd. "So, I really just... wanna do this shot for Nip tonight and I just want everybody to look around and be grateful and happy that we're all here together alive and well because life can end at any moment. I just want to say I love you, I'm thankful to be here with you tonight. London, as long as you'll have me back I'll stand in the middle of this building and I'll give you everything I fucking got. Cheers my brother. Rest easy, my G."

Drake, as well as many others, have taken to social media to grieve over the death of Nipsey.

Nipsey was fatally shot on Sunday while he was at his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. He was 33.

On Tuesday, Minister Louis Farrakhan added his voice to the chorus remembering Hussle. “We are gathering as much information as we can on the passing of our brother Nipsey Hussle. But the Nation of Islam mourns the loss of this great brother. His death as well as his life had so much meaning to it—for us and for unborn generations. We thank Allah that his life came this way from God and touched our lives,” the statement opens. Farrakhan went on to insist, “A bigger hand than the hand of the man who pulled the trigger is behind it all. More will I say in the future.”
