Meek Mill has seemingly addressed 6ix9ine's return to Instagram Live on Friday. In a tweet that didn't directly address the controversial rapper, Meek said that he's hoping for an apology "to the people he told on." Meek has been critical of 6ix9ine in the past, and his comments come just as the "Gummo" rapper announced a new single and Instagram stream that will go down at 3 p.m. ET on Friday.

"I hope that rat going live to apologize to the people he told on or the victim," Meek tweeted, without naming names. "Y'all forgot that fast a 'rat' killed Nipsey he wasn't suppose to be on the streets! That's the only thing ima day [sic] because he's dead... Left his baby mom and child like a coward as targets!"

6ix9ine caught wind of Meek's comment and responded, writing, "Imagine having a new born baby come into the world & be pressed about a Mexican with rainbow hair." Meek Mill and his girlfriend Milan Harris welcomed a baby boy into their lives on May 6, which also happened to be Meek's birthday.

Shortly after 6ix9ine made his comment, Meek responded with more tweets. "Now you just a informant behind a keyboard tryna troll families you ruined so it's not gone hit the same," he wrote. "And by the way I'm doing this for my 'sons' so you won't be around to impact their lives ever!!!" He followed up with two further tweets, one calling 6ix9ine's new song "trash" and another suggesting his followers "Google 'tommy hilfiger butter' he told after a life of crime.'"

When 6ix9ine took to the stand last year to testify against members of the Nine Trey Bloods, Meek advised him to be himself rather than an "internet gangsta." Earlier this year, he clowned the then-incarcerated rapper's prison photo, which he called "witness protection drip."

A few hours after the back and forth started, Meek sent out a tweet saying he was "sorry" for lashing out. "I’m sorry I lash out sometimes when I see people playing like that lol," he wrote. "I been locked up too many times like a animal Sam change my passcode and don’t give it me nomore."
