French Montana has recruited Tory Lanez for his breezy new track "Cold."

Atop a skittering beat complete with a summer-ready melody, the two rappers make for a formidable team. The two previously went back and forth as part of a Quarantine Radiohit battle, and they decided to cap it off by working together. It's been reported that the battle broke an Instagram Live record by attracting more than 300,000 simultaneous viewers.

French went on to drop a video for the collab on July 14—watch the appropriately icy (and then occasionally tropical) "Cold" visual up top.

The two teased their collaboration prior to the song's drop:

The arrival of the track comes after a prolific period for Lanez, and off the back of some controversy for French. Not only has the "Unforgettable" artist gotten himself in a feud with Young Thug, he also attracted a lot of attention when he suggested he "might outshine" Kendrick Lamar if they both headlined a festival together, at least on a hit-for-hit basis.

Montana went on to clarify that he wasn't calling himself a better rapper, as Kendrick has "masterpieces." He did, however, say he had "more hits."
