Nas has revealed that he and Hit-Boy have been working on something special together.

“There’s some projects going on. One of them—I was working with Hit-Boy and I still am,” Nas told DJ and VJ Ralph McDaniels on Thursday. “Hit-Boy, that’s been fun working with him. He played a snippet in the battles the other day...of something. We got some things.”

Nas also mentioned there’s a second project he’s been working on that he doesn’t want to “disclose.”

Nas and McDaniels were speaking during Universal Hip Hop Museum and Mass Appeal’s Hip Hop Loves NY benefit event, which honored healthcare workers during the pandemic.

In 2018, Nas teased a NASIR follow-up with production by Swizz Beatz and RZA. "It's another album that I already had been working on before [NASIR]," Nas said during an iHeartRadio Q&A with Angie Martinez. "Since I did this, I gotta do something that, you know, goes in another direction a little bit. So I'm finishing up the next one...I did do something with Swizz, I did stuff with RZA. I'm a big Wu-Tang fan. RZA's real."

In the clip, Nas refers to Hit-Boy squaring off with Boi-1da last month in a battle titled, “The Beat Battle You Don't Want To Miss.” In addition to previewing music from Nas, Hit-Boy also teased an unreleased Big Sean and Nipsey Hussle track from Sean’s forthcoming project, Detroit 2, and unreleased Benny the Butcher.
