YNW Melly ignited speculation this week when a cryptic date appeared on his official Instagram page. “3/13” the post read, leading some to believe Melly was either teasing new music or, perhaps, his release from a Broward County detention center. Turns out, it was the former.

On Thursday, Melly released the highly anticipated “Suicidal” remix featuring the late Juice WRLD. The original version appeared on Melly’s 2019 project Melly vs. Melvin, and debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The South Florida rapper previewed the remix via social media back in December, shortly after Juice died from an accidental overdose.

The “Suicidal” remix follows Juice’s posthumous verse on Eminem’s hit track “Godzilla.” The late rapper’s estate has also announced plans to release additional posthumous material:

“We plan to honor Juice's talents, his spirit, and the love he felt for his fans by sharing unreleased music and other projects that he was passionately in the process of developing,” his family wrote in a statement.

As we wait for more details about new Juice WRLD music, you can stream the “Suicidal” remix on major platforms and watch its official music video above.

The single arrives as Melly awaits trial for the alleged murder of Anthony Williams, aka YNW Sakchaser; and Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy. Melly, who has pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder charges, was all smiles during his Wednesday court hearing in Fort Lauderdale.
