21 Savage "On the Inside"

Less than a month after releasing the Kid Hazel-produced "Immortal" track, 21 Savage returns with the haunting record "On the Inside."

The song was created for Godfather of Harlem, an Epix crime drama based on the real-life story of NYC gangster Bumpy Johnson. Swizz Beatz was tapped to curate the show's soundtrack, which is being released in pieces. Other artists who have contributed to the GoH soundtrack include Pusha-T, ASAP Ferg, Buddy, Wale, French Montana, DMX, Rick Ross, and John Legend.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Swizz spoke about his executive music producer role for the series, and how he selected the featured acts.

"I was just working with artists that I felt could fit the scenes, fit the show, still be timeless, still be heritage — [and] still fit today's world," he explained. "It wound up being an interesting mix. My idea is to make the show global, sonically. When we start shooting the rest of the stuff, you're going to see a bunch of changes happening there as well."

You can stream "On the Inside" via Apple Music or Spotify. Godfather of Harlem, starring Forest Whitaker, airs Sundays on Epix.
