Both artists were guests on their fellow Rhythm + Flow star T.I.'s podcast, with the discussion ultimately turning to matters of Trump-related idiocy.
"You all can quote me on this a couple of years down the line,' Chance said, per The Hill. "I think Trump is going to win again at the next election because he's got the biggest base."
Cardi expressed agreement with Chance's assessment, noting a lack of excitement among alternatives.
"Just because due to the fact that every single time I don't see nobody saying they love a Democratic candidate," Cardi said. "There's no candidate that people are saying like we love, we want them to win."
A lot of American voters, Cardi added, vote based on feelings of "racism and religion" instead of how a new leader might impact their day-to-day lives.
Cardi is a public supporter for Bernie Sanders, with whom she sat down over the summer for a campaign-shared video touching on everything from minimum wage to police brutality.
"We have this bully as a president," Cardi said in the ensuing video, released in August. "And the only way to take him out is somebody winning."
