We didn't need more proof that 2 Chainz and Lil Baby are on good footing. The pair collaborated on the Street Gossip track "Anyway" and nothing that's happened since then would damage that connection. But Baby apparently moved up a notch in Tity Boi's eyes. The veteran gave the young rapper the title of "street general" after Baby recovered a lost hard drive that belonged to Chainz and Skooly.
Chainz doesn't go into detail about how his hard drive got lost (or snatched) or how Baby got it back, but it's clear from a recent Instagram post that he is over-the-moon about its return.
"I wanna take to the time to salute and acknowledge [Lil Baby] a real street general. Bru was able to get the hard drive back for me...and I appreciate that 1thousand !" he wrote on Instagram.
If the tags in the post (and Chainz' recent Insta activity) are any indication, the hard drive contained new music from the always-grinding rapper. It may even be the home of that long-awaited Future collab. Chainz has already dropped some of our favorite verses of the year with no signs of slowing down. At the very least, the hard drive's loss might have deprived Barack Obama of some playlist heat.
