Did Trey Songz just become a father?
On Thursday afternoon, the 34-year-old artist shared a black-and-white photo that showed his hand holding the foot of a baby. Songz—real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson—captioned the Instagram post with a blue heart emoji, leading fans to believe he had welcomed a baby boy.
Fans and celebrities took to the comment section to congratulate Songz on the new addition. Model/actress Sharina Gutierrez wrote: "You were meant to be a daddy"; while Kehlani simply commented: "Finally HAHAAAAA YES!!!"
Songz's vague post was also met with some skepticism. Several users were convinced the singer was misleading his followers by sharing a TBT photo that was taken after the birth of his nephew. Others theorized the baby in the photo belonged to one of his friends.
In December 2018, The Shade Room posted a sonogram that allegedly belonged to adult film star Brittney Jones. The woman had claimed that the baby belonged to Songz; however, she was later accused of doctoring the image—accusations she later denied.
