The annual NBA All-Star game took place in Charlotte, North Carolina this past weekend, with J. Cole performing on Sunday night as the halftime headliner. Dreamville also took the weekend as a chance to celebrate its crew, with a brunch, pop-up shop, and show.

During the show, Cole, Wale, J.I.D., Bas, Omen, Lute, Ari Lennox, Cozz, and more took the stage, helping to build expectations for Revenge Of The Dreamers III.

Cole also previewed two new songs that night, the first of which was the same song Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad teased back in January, except this time we got to hear more of Cole’s verse, and Lute’s too. The second song was a new cut featuring J.I.D.—and Cole also performed his most recent release “MIDDLE CHILD.”

In early February, “MIDDLE CHILD” climbed to the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The T-Minus produced single, which Cole dropped on Jan. 23, debuted at No. 26. With its move up the chart, the song became the rapper’s new career-best placement on the Hot 100.

Prior to its release, in January, Cole and Ib confirmed the ROTD3 sessions were finished. Cole thanked everyone who contributed, while the Dreamville president highlighted just how ambitious the project was. “Just put 124 songs/ideas in a playlist on this flight and that’s not even every song on the hard drive yet #ROTD3 #Dreamville,” Ib tweeted.
