Noname, the Chicago rapper who was a must-see at last year’s ComplexCon, has released her new project Room 25.

Earlier in her career, Noname caught the attention of new listeners by delivering one of the best verses on Chance the Rapper’s 2016 mixtape Coloring Book for “Finish Line / Drown.” In the summer of that year, she dropped Telefone, showcasing her ability to translate her poetry into rich, smooth, and relatable material. The tape would land on several year-end lists, including Complex’s at No. 25.

Noname took two years to create Room 25, refining her craft and building her fan base through touring across America with a live band. The album carries a similar jazzy tone as Telefone, and it's an intimate listen featuring some of her best songwriting to date that covers relationships, religion, and finding yourself. Early favorites include “Window,” “Montego Bae,” and “No Name.”

The cover art for Room 25 was done by Chicago artist Bryant Giles. You can stream the project on Apple Music or below via Spotify.

Noname has also announced an upcoming tour set to kick off in January. Check out the dates below and visit her official website for more updates.
