The raw, orgasmic power of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony was on full and powerful display during a performance in the Los Angeles area last week.

Per firsthand accounts of numerous attendees, as initially reported by the Los Angeles Times, an orgasm of the “loud and full body” variety is believed to have been heard during a Los Angeles Philharmonic performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall last Friday.

Speaking with the publication, one attendee—identified as Molly Grant—recalled everyone in the audience turning to see what was going on when the apparent orgasm took place. According to Grant, she saw the woman in question after the noise was heard, noting that she was breathing “heavily” and that her partner was looking at her with a smile.

“It was quite beautiful,” she said of the swiftly tweeted-about moment, alleged audio of which was making the rounds over the weekend.

The masterfully timed moan is reported to have been heard during the second movement of the piece. Worth noting here is that the orchestra did not halt when the sounds of the apparent orgasm ricocheted through the venue, opting instead to continue providing the soundtrack for this enviable moment of life-pausing bliss.

A source close to the situation told Complex that an audience member made “a noise” during the second movement of the performance.

“Contrary to initial accounts, the orchestra continued playing and there were no further disruptions,” the source added.

Complex has reached out to the Los Angeles Philharmonic for further comment on this globally applauded instance of musically aligned sexual pleasure. This story may be updated.

In the meantime, it’s recommended that readers promptly experience Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony for themselves.
