Kyle Lowry’s long-anticipated return to Toronto is set to take place Feb. 1 when the Raptors face the Miami Heat at Scotiabank Arena. It will be his first game back in the 6ix since he joined the Heat in a sign-and-trade deal this past summer. While he may not receive the deafening standing ovation he deserves—thanks to provincial restrictions limiting stadium capacity to just 1,000 people—he will at the very least get some fire gear to mark the occasion.
In celebration of the Lowry’s homecoming next month, adidas Canada is releasing an exclusive collection, made in collaboration with the point guard, that commemorates his unforgettable run with Raptors. Dubbed the ‘Forever Home Pack,’ it includes a black hoodie and tee with the number 7 printed on the back, flanked by the many historic accomplishments and accolades he racked up with the team: nine seasons, 16 triple-doubles, 601 games, 873 steals, 1,518 three-pointers, 4,277 assists, 10,540 points, 20,813 minutes, and of course, one championship ring.
The front of both the hoodie and tee feature the adidas logo with the words: “Forever Home” and “Toronto.” It’s likely a reference to Lowry’s goodbye letter to Toronto, in which he wrote, “This will forever be HOME!!!” I’m not crying, you’re crying. (Jk I’m definitely crying. We all are.)
Additionally, adidas Creators Club members will get the chance to win “the ultimate Kyle Lowry viewing experience,” consisting of snacks, swag, and a signed pair of kicks by KLow himself. Members can enter the contest starting Jan. 21 here.
There’s some speculation that Lowry may not make the trip to Toronto on Feb. 1, however, since he sat out Monday’s game between the Heat and Raptors game for personal reasons, and next month’s matchup falls on the second night of a back-to-back for Miami. Either way, any chance Canada gets to give Lowry his flowers, we will do just that.
