Jada Pinkett Smith shouted out Rihanna this week for both her style and her love of “helping other women,” detailing in a recent social media post what she says makes the Savage X Fenty founder a “queen.”

The supportive message in question arrived on Instagram, with the Red Table Talk co-host sharing a side-by-side edit that included a photo of a Grammy Awards look she rocked back in 1998.

“Who says you can’t wear see thru fits when you’re preggers?” Jada, whose post also included a recent pic of Rihanna in a sheer Dior dress, said.

Elsewhere in the caption, Jada—who tagged the Anti singer in the post—connected her public show of Rihanna appreciation to the fact that March is recognized as Women’s History Month.

“I love me some Rih. She’s bold, unapologetic, fierce, kind and an all around girls girl,” Jada said. “She likes to see other women win and that’s one of her qualities I admire most. She’s a queen that loves helping other women find and hold their own crowns. As women, it’s important that we seeeee one another, help heal one another, love one another and support one another. Here’s to one more of my favorites for International Women’s Month.”

In comments to Entertainment Tonight last month, Rihanna—who was reported to be pregnant with her and ASAP Rocky’s first child together earlier this year—said the experience had been an “exciting journey” so far.

“There’s always something new and I’m just taking it and I’m enjoying it,” she said at the time.

2022 started off strong for Rihanna and the Savage X Fenty team, who—as previously reported—launched the brand’s first brick-and-mortar store in Las Vegas in January. Per comments from Rihanna at the time, the goal was to connect with customers “in real life” while providing them with a truly unique experience. Additional locations are expected to be rolled out later this year.
