While working on his new collab collection with Zara, launching this week, Narciso Rodriguez says he was taken aback by the sustained enthusiasm he witnessed for his decades of minimalism-shaping design.

“Working with Zara is eye-opening, because everyone is so aware of what’s going on in the world and in fashion,” Rodriguez said in a press release. “They have really enthusiastic, energetic people, and they were excited about every aspect of this collaboration. And that was fun for me—to see people who weren’t around when these clothes were first shown, now celebrating and enjoying them as much as we did 20 years ago.”

Jackets, jumpsuits, dresses, skirts, tops, blazers, and more are included in the special collection, which draws from Rodriguez’s extensive archive. Seeing archival pieces reimagined by Zara designers, Rodriguez said, was an “amazing experience” for him. Rodriguez also praised the brand’s design team for bringing the pieces into 2022 while also keeping their original “essence” alive in the revived looks.

Below, see a selection of newly released campaign images from the upcoming Zara and Narciso Rodriguez collab collectio shot by Craig McDean and starring Natalia Vodiánova. The collection—comprised of 25 total pieces—is set to launch availability on Sept. 8 via the official Zara site and in select retail locations. Prices start at $45.90 for belts and run up to $499 for coats.
