When putting together what became Dior’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2024 show, creative director Kim Jones aimed to keep a “very continuous thread” alive with each piece.

The Paris show, available to stream above, notably marks Jones’ fifth year with the French fashion house.

“Suiting and tailoring is the key point,” Jones said in a preview clip shared earlier this week. “I think, well, there’s a very continuous thread throughout the collection with pops of color. It’s really about fabrication and silhouette and it’s all about the clothes. It’s like, new look to new wave.”

Ahead of Friday’s show, Dior also shared a clip showing actor Felix Mallard during a visit to Dior Heritage. While there, Mallard got an inside look at some key history from Dior’s decades-long story, including a glimpse at what inspired Jones this time around. Key among those inspiration, as seen below, is the use of tweed—particularly in Dior’s Fall/Winter 1960 collection, which saw 20 garments featuring the fabric.

Dior recently launched its Dioriviera experience at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset. See here for the full rundown of details, including specifics on how long the pop-up will be available to visit.
