In a statement Friday, Rihanna praised LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, who credited their previous work together on Fenty Beauty as having tuned him in to the recent Guava Island star's potential as a "true entrepreneur" with proven leadership.

"Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us," Rihanna said. "Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn't imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I'm ready for the world to see what we have built together."

Arnault added that the Fenty Maison will be supported by a carefully curated "multicultural team" using LVMH's expansive resources. "I am proud that LVMH is leading this venture and wish it will be a great success," he said.

As for what to expect with from the Paris-based Fenty, LVMH teased Friday that their work together "takes shape with her vision in terms of ready to wear, shoes and accessories, including commerciality and communication of the brand."

Fenty is set to debut in Spring 2019, though additional launch details have not been announced.
